"Dan Pecota has been part of the Northwest College family since 1958. He is a professor of Religion, teaching New Testament Greek, Christian Doctrine, and Principles of Interpretation, and Most recently he spent time in Magadan Russia, the land of his heritage, teaching Bible courses. He also serves as Divisional Coordinator of Religious and Ministerial Studies.

Professor Pecota's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from Southern California College, Masters of Divinity and of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministries from Philips University.

In adition to these professional credentials, Dan is an ordained minister in the Northwest District and a elder, teacher, and member of Calvary Chapel Assembly of God in Seattle. He has been a member of the board of Metanoia Ministries of Seattle, an interdenominational Christian ministry to those seeking to be free from homosexuality. He is also a member of the advisory board of New Horizons Ministries, an outreach ministry to street kids in Seattle. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and Exegesis for Pentecostal Studies.

Dan Pecota is addressed affectionately by students and alumni of Northwest College as "Doctor Dan." He is known for his fairness, his honesty, for his love for his students. Also, he is recognized as a scholar and an inspiring communicator. His students know him as a man who always has time to listen. And, perhaps most of all, he is admired and respected for his personal and professional integrity."
