Abstract
The ensuing work will discover and clarify the most requested support services that public universities in Washington offer to help increase the retention and graduation rates of first-generation college students (FGCS). It will include an analysis of research and literature from existing institutions that closely examine the support services offered to FGCS. After examining current literature regarding FCGS support services, the thesis will suggest three support services that other university programs can consider implementing to better support their FGCS demographic.
